I think this statement in the record of the house of representatives makes it so clear to me that the war in Iraq is wrong.. anybody else?

(Mr. WU asked and was given permission to address the House for 1 minute.)

Mr. WU. Mr. Speaker, 4 years ago, this administration took America to war in Iraq without adequate evidence. Since that time, the administration has not listened to the American people, it hasn't listened to our professional military, and it certainly hasn't listened to this Congress.

It was said of a prominent businessman in downtown Portland that he never listened to anybody and that if he was ever drawn in a cartoon he would be drawn without ears.

Now, this President has listened to some people, the so-called Vulcans in the White House, the ideologues. But unlike the Vulcans of Star Trek, who made the decisions based on logic and fact, these guys make it on ideology. These aren't Vulcans. There are Klingons in the White House. But unlike the real Klingons of Star Trek, these Klingons have never fought a battle of their own.

Don't led faux Klingons send real Americans to war. It is wrong.

The Klingons didn't lead the country to war... the Select House Committee on Intelligence did, and I'm sure Mr Wu knows the current Speaker of the house was on that committee and spoke out vociferously about the need to disarm Iraq herself.

Wasn't it clear enough before this statement. It sure was to a large majority of the American people, who the Bush administration just ignore. Good thing he cannot run again, he would unlikely get any votes from anyone outside of his immediate family. Well maybe a few CEO's that he has made richer.

that made it about as clear as one of Tony Snow's daily briefings.

No one needs Klingon comparisons to know the war is wrong. All one needs is a little common sense.

Yes,Iraq was wrong all along.Dont tell "liberal scum" like me tell you otherwise just because of the body count.

The idea that war is a human atrocity is liberal.
Creating the atrocity is conservative. It is wrong.

finally!! it's been what.. a week now.. and I get to see this question :P ok.. so the guy is a little off... and he used association.. you can still identify the logic behind his statement and choose to address the actual argument rather than the style.. or would that be asking too much?

Yes it does, I needed the war in Iraq to be compared to a cheesy science fiction show from the sixty's to make me understand.
