It's their airplane, they have the right to kick off anybody they see fit. Terrorist is one of those words that are not supposed to be uttered on an airplane, so wearing a shirt with the word on it, should be a problem too. I don't care who's picture is on it.

Airlines have certain policies in place. They have an obligation to see that their customers are comfortable. If other members of a flight feel uncomfortable or threatened by another passenger, the airline must, and will take action... People should know better. This guy was asking for trouble when he boarded that plane. He chose to wear that shirt on that flight for a very specific reason. Hope he wan`t surprised.

all airlines have a dress code for all paying passengers
standby passengers
and codeshare passengers
they can also limit the amount of alcohol you drink.
and stop you from brining your own
and they can stop you from smoking on board as well
they can stop were ever they want and toss you off for
breaking any rule they have.
that includes laguage, and behavior as well
you will go to jail, you will be fined 10,000 u.s.dollars
and if they want they can also sue you for the fuel costs
and charges for stopping at an non-scheduled station.
and it is under International law...so it can happen anywhere in the world.
I know of a man that was thrown off a plane for repeatedly
pinching a flight attendants butt, fined 10,ooo dollars
and put in jail for three months.
proper behavior on a plane is everyones safety.
and how you dress many times shows what mood
you might be in or implying....

The airline probably didn't want the rest of the world to know what that guy already knew. No sense scaring everybody, lol. I would not have worn the shirt on the plane per se, but everywhere else I would have. No sense screwing up the travels of innocent people. I would have been more courteous. It is over the top, no pun intended. A shirt? Gimme a break. What was he going to do? Show everyone? Outrageous!

Honestly, I think that some people can't handle the truth (A few Good Men). I think that freedom of speech is one of our country's greatest achievements and it's sad when people are not allowed to wear a shirt. I applaude this guy and I would take action against the airline.

Interesting if what you state is correct considering Quantas is an Australian Airline.

I saw this go across the crawl on CNN this morning but could find any follow up on line. I see it was in Australia now. This happened in Michigan at a local high school (same t-shirt) few years ago. I hope he wins a lawsuit. Bush is near 21% approval rating in the USA, it must be far lower in the rest of the world. I think worlds number 1 nice guy would be far more controversial.

Considering the times we live in and the heightened security measures at airports, I wouldn't have worn the T-shirt. Security issues outweigh the right to free speech. I don't think he is entitled to a refund.

He's a stupid idiot for wearing something like that on a plane. Someone wearing a shirt like that is automatically more suspicious than the next and people don't want to f around with planes and terrorists anymore. I'm glad he got kicked off. Talk about stupid.
