Is it Zofran that your doc gave you the script for? It's WELL WORTH IT! It's very expensive, yes, but works well! I went thru the exact same thing in my pregnancies, all day/night sickness, hospitalized for dehydration. Now don't expect to eat normal, but it will stop you from puking and you'll actually be able to eat/drink something until it passes. My morning sickness was gone around 4 months. I used it regularly with my youngest who's now 2 and she's a perfectly healthy, intelligent child. GOOD LUCK!

I had the worst morning sickness in my second pregnancy and was also hospitalized a couple times for dehydration and I was put on Phenergan which caused me to sleep like you had mentioned so then I was given a different prescription called Reglan which worked wonders and did not make me sleepy at all which was perfect because I worked. That was the ONLY thing that would work for me...I tried everything there was! Maybe talk to your doctor about getting that or another safe prescription that wont make you sleepy. I also used preggie pops in my second pregnancy which helped some but it sounds like you have it really bad like I did and I think all that will work is an RX. Good luck hun, mine lasted until about 4 months so you shouldnt have it that much longer hopefully!

I too had morning sickness all day during the 1st few weeks. It went away pretty much at the beginning of the 10th week. I still occasionally feel ill, but nothing like it was. I never could take the prescription nausea medications because like you, they put me to sleep. One thing that really helped me was sucking on hard candy and chewing sugar free gum. It helps with the excess saliva and the crappy taste you get in your mouth. I never could eat crackers, but some toast with butter always helped me. I hope you feel better soon!! :)

I've had the same problem, tried almost everything including prescriptions, and only ONE thing has knocked the morning sickness out: Campbell's Velvety Potato soup.
Something about the starch of the potato, but I wouldn't recommend french fries - the grease from them only seem to make the nausea worse.

Oh yes, morning sickness sucks! I had it for the entire pregnancy, I was actually throwing up when I was in labor, one thing I did learn that helped was that I had to eat IMMEDIATELY when I got out of bed. If I went any time without, I would be throwing up stomach bile (sorry to be so gross) Zophryn definitely helped me get through though!
So sorry you are having to deal with this! Just look forward to a happy, healthy baby! Good Luck!

I feel your pain, I am almost 11wks and I feel sick all the time. I can keep my food down, I do occasionaly throw up, most of the time I just feel weak and sick. Hopefully we'll feel better in a few weeks. Mashed potatoes work okay, and sweet tea. Hope you feel better soon.

If the medicine is too expensive, perhaps you could ask your doctor for samples. Most doctors have samples of several of the medications they give to their patients.
Beyond that, I don't know WHAT to tell you. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful.
