With the way he calls plays from the line of scrimmage and often adjusts tactics, do you think he would make a good coach if he decided to do that after retirement.

Without a doubt - To have watched him mature from taking all his plays from the sidelines to calling audibles every other play, there's no doubt in my mind, he'd be a great coach - he'd probably start as a QBs coach first, and within four or five years be a head coach.
My major question though, would be, where (which team)? Close to home i.e. New Orleans, or would he stay with the Colts organization?

Peyton is very educated... and I don't mean in just football. I've heard it said that he finished 4 years of college in 3 years. He certainly understands how football works... he has a complete understanding of the game. So, I think he would make an excellent coach after (even now... hehehe) he retires.

I'm sure he'd make a great coach, he understands the game extremely well. But he's also fairly charismatic in his commercials. So he'd probably do well being a commentator or calling a game. Which also pays very well and doesn't put such a strain on the personal life.

I think he would make a good head coach, but many plays actually come upstairs from the offensive coordinator, so maybe he would make an even better offensive coordinator than coach since he is good at reading defenses and calling plays to counteract.
