I went to Amsterdam last year and totally loved it, I went with my b/f and we had such a good time that we have decided to go back there for a week in March...what was your favourite thing about Amsterdam, or if you hated it, what did you dislike so much?

I liked the better side of town with the little playhouse and pub, near the Four Seasons and the parks. I didn't like the more touristy areas near most of the coffee shops and the red light district. The outside urine troughs set the tone. It smelled like urine and puke everywhere there and the water in the canals was putrid. I don't know how anyone eats on one of those dinner cruises. Disgusting. I liked the rest of the country so much better. The Dutch are amazing people.

No, I hate the Cubs the most, then the Twins, then the Red Wings, then the Packers so I guess I hate two teams from baseball before I hate teams from any other sport. I'm a White Sox, Blackhawks, Bears fan btw.

the only thing I hate about Amsterdam is that I do not remember what I did there. I partied so hard that I lost consciousness over the 3 days I was there.

Loved the Cat museum and smokey pubs.
Hated the drug dealers and the Red light district, got out of there as soon as we could.

I loved the city and my wife hated just about all of it (apart from the cats and the canals)

Loved the so-called coffeeshops..generally disliked the rudeness, and I wasn't at all rude to anybody and blended in nicely. It's a nice place to visit to experience what you can't at home. Other than that, it's a very drab and touristy place to be.

Never been, but planning to go within the next couple of years. I hear it's a wonderful place to visit! Good times, good times.

I saw a guy get mugged but the mugger kept stabbing a guy with a pen knife and the guy kept deflecting the knife with a large paperback novel until the mugger gave up because he had stabbed himself so many times.

I hate Amsterdam! The most dangerous city in Europe (4 homicides per 100,000 inhabitants), nothing beautiful to see, only ***** and drunk people.. I prefer Brugge, Venice, Annecy
