for those dissing Carter here is a short history lesson.

Jimmy Carter's first official act of Presidency was the firing of the C.I.A. director George Herbert Walker Bush in 1976. Bush begged him not to. Carter felt that Bush's actions as director were contradictory to the integrity of the United States being a supporter of democracy in the world. In 1973 Bush had the democratically elected President of Chile, Salvador Allande' assassinated and replaced with the dictator Pinochet. Similarly he supported right wing extremist Manuel Noriega in Panama, and Saddam Hussein in Iraq.
After Bush's forced retirement his friends in Saudi Arabia CREATED AN ARTIFICIAL OIL SHORTAGE THAT SENT GASOLINE PRICES SKYROCKETING, CAUSING SPIRALING INFLATION. THEY ALSO SUPPORTED A SHIITE REVOLUTION IN IRAN WHERE A U.S. EMBASSY WAS TAKEN HOSTAGE. GO FIGURE HUH

Because that would be admitting that he is wrong, and Man-God Bush can't be wrong, it'd be like a paradox or something.

Because money is their bottom line. Government may go into deficit financing a war, but private Corporations are in for lots military contracts which means MONEY.
The Conservatives then buy a second home in some other Country, for tax purposes. Corporations, and the bosses of same, care for nothing but money so then don't care what happens to the working class people or our Government.
They actually believe that if the working class folks can't protect their own interest, then the working class deserve the penalties associated with hard times.
The consequences of the Iraq War mean nothing to the rich because their sons and daughter do not have to serve in the Army.

I think President Bush has been an outstanding President. He lives what he believes and isn't afraid to back it up with action. Gerald Ford was a poor President, but the worse ever, in my opinion, was Jimmy Carter.
President Bush understands the reality of the threat of terrorism. It was the Democrats that made 9/11 possible, by putting barriers between the FBI and CIA so they couldn't share information, and by not taking Bin Laden when we were offered him. Had the Democrats been in power the last 6 years, we would have been hit numerous times. They have no plan to talk about. Their only strategy is to say they'd do things better and criticize and blame anyone and everyone but themselves. Honestly, we should build a playpen around Congress! Any of us who behaved the way the Democrats do at our places of work would be tossed out on our ears long ago. At our places of work, we understand you don't have to like everyone on the team we work with - we do our part, they do theirs and we reach a positive outcome, but those babies simply won't work with anyone they don't like, i.e. anyone not from the Democrat Party.

i'm a conservative republican and that i do admit he wasn't continually the perfect president for instance: I thoroughly yet respecfully disagree mutually with his desicion to implement the $seven-hundred billion dollar bailout. on the different hand Obama recommendations are insane, his socialistic regulations couldn't be worse for the monetary device on the prompt. The redistribution of wealth doesn't supply any incentive to get ahead in this international because in case you do artwork flat out you money will in all probability be despatched to three crackhead thats to lazy to get off his butt and get a job. Obamas gun administration regulations will make it almost no longer feasible to get a gun anymore, which signifies that the purely those who would have them are criminals. I plan on growing a member of the U. S. AIr stress as an Officer, he has actually no idea about the thanks to operate the armed amenities and that i FREAKS THE HECK OUT OF ME! Why do not democrats renowned that Obama become the more severe determination for president. Why won't be able to you face actuality?

Well, because the truth is that he HASN'T been a terrible mistake, nor has he "been the worst ever". So admitting to falsehoods would make us liars like you.

He hasn't been the greatest, and he certainly wasn't a great candidate in 2000, but he was better than the fabricating phony Gore, and was much preferable to the hollow traitor Kerry in 2004.

He wasn't conservative enough for me, and has failed to use the bully pulpit of his office to good effect. His "compassionate" big government is wrong, and his failure to respond to the cowardly insults and smears of the Democrats has been unforgivable.

He isn't even the worst in the past 50 years - Carter holds that distinction, followed by LBJ, Nixon and Clinton. For those of us that can handle the truth.

There are huge divisions within the Republican party regarding Bush' domestic and foreign policies.
Some do disagree with him, but the "hard right" Republicans, I think, are big-state authoritarians to the core.
Big state authoritarians believe indiviual interests are subordinated to the State, and that "no matter what" the President is always right about everything.
So Bush's tendencies toward concentrating executive power, aggressive foreign policies and diminishing the procedural protections of law such as Habeas Corpus fall right in line with their beliefs.

im sorry people but someone whose approval rate is at or below 30% can never be classified as a "great president." That low of a number shows that ever some of the true conservatives are fed up with his crap. he has done absolutely nothing else during his terms other than attack a country who never threatened us. that is the one and only thing bush will be remembered for. he has done nothing to help our nation in any way. he is a failure, plain and simple.

I won't admit to a lie.
You haven't caught on those we are fighting want us dead.
9/11 should have taught you that.
Iraq was not directly involed with 9/11 but still all part of the Muslim terrorism.

It is not true. Although I disagree with some of his policies I admire his courage to stand up to the terrorists. Instead of sending lawyers he sent troops.

If the war in Iraq does not succeed then the terrorists will be emboldened. That might mean that sorry losers like you may have to see the inside of a uniform.

If its because you thing the war has been done wrong or that Bush has made mistakes in the war....
