I live in Nashville, TN. Here, many have a "W" sticker on their SUV which stands for Bush and it says "Support Our Troops" and the people are very snobby and look down on anybody who lives outside of their nice neighborhoods with their $1,000,000 McMansions and they act very much like they are superior as well as smarter than everybody else because they consider themselves rich, even though they are juggling a bunch of debt usually, and they all go to huge, massive churches on Sundays and they are very narrow minded and egotistical. I think these are the "Americans" people all over the world like to hate maybe. Just real assholes and their wives are usually snooty "Stepford Wives" characters who like to spend much of their time gossiping about other people in their nice elite communities. And they are mean, selfish unhappy people who will quickly call the police on anybody driving around their neighborhoods looking suspicious.

Do you have these people in your area?

calling the police on someone acting suspicious is a bad thing? They probably have kids and dont want to be victims of kidnapping or theft

YES! lol

I can think of a many areas like that close to here.

And the streets in these towns or areas are called, "An ocean of mini-vans and SUV's." You could stand in the corner and like 90% of the vehicles that drive by are going to be SUV or mini-van. It's kinda crazy.

And the even weirdest thing I noticed is that there's usually only one or two people in the vehicles.

Walking around in their neighborhood is a big no no if you're not caucasian or if the people in the neighborhood aren't familiar with you. You will have the cops tailing you real fast.

I wouldn't say they're all mean. Many of them are extremely selfish but not mean. Wouldn't call them all assholes.

I just think they're isolated. Kinda like living in bubbles.

And finally, the elitest attitude is definitely there for they can travel anywhere they want to but will not permit others to enter into their... um... world.

No, I live on an Indian Reservation where the poverty level is equivalent to some third world nations. Many people here support the troops because their children are the ones who are joining the military straight out of high school just to get a better life only to come back either in a box or with a limb or two missing.

As for the people that live here, corruption is rampant. The public housing office is going bankrupt and people are homeless or living in substandard situations with a family of five or more living in one room shacks or in a three bedroom house with several other relatives.

Meanwhile, some of my distant relatives are stealing outright in front of everyone at my community. Then one of them has the audacity to say that everyone is "just jealous because we're rich"!

Sure there are people like that where I live. There are also people like you who whine, complain and make the same kind of generalizations that they accuse others of making. So they live in big houses and have high debt and all the other things you mentioned. Does it personally affect you? Nope. If you spend that much time worrying about what other people think about you or what you think of others you live a very sad life. Who cares! Just worry about your own piece of the pie.

Every area has these sort of people - snobs.
Working class people know they don't have much, but are happy. Upper class people have it, know it, but don't have to prove it.
The poor old middle class are stuck in the middle - not arrived yet, but pretend they have - and like everyone to think so.
The reason they are in debt is because they are trying to keep up with the Jones's

I know its seems crazy at first , but yes, THEY ARE EVERYWHERE. I live in New Jersey and its gotten so bad ,that they actually gate up the communities. If they dont have a gate ,then they have a guard who will shoot you for stepping on their property. So forget them and their snotty ways. Its easier to act like we are better than them and just feel pity on people who dont know the true meaning of life :]
