My baby had more severe reflux. We tried mixing some rice cereal with breastmilk, but it didn't help. We tried meds: Carafate, Zantac, Prilosec - these had to be mixed with applesauce and spooned. Again, they may have helped, but not enough that he actually gained much weight. Eventually we tried fundoplication surgery, but that didn't really work, either. It just reduced the size of his stomach, and we ended up tube feeding him 3 oz or less at a time until he was old enough, and strong enough (he also has CP) to be upright. We finally got the gtube removed when he was 6 years old.
Positioning seemed more important. Maybe if you keep the baby upright, in a swing, or infant carrier, or even a tilted carseat, during and after feedings, it will help. Good luck, and God bless you both.
