It's so peculiar that you would ask that question. I spent a LOT of time in the shower and it various from day to day. Let me explain why.

I do a lot of singing in the shower and it turns out I'm a great singer when in the shower. A virtuoso! It's the same thing when I'm driving in my car with the music turned up. I'm a superstar! But it's really confusing.

When I'm not in my shower or in my car, I can't sing worth **** even if my life depended on it. What's even worse is that I'm aspiring to be a rock 'n roll singer and I've got a real dilema here. I went and got myself a manager (she had to take a shower with me to witness my vocal ability first hand). She signed me up pretty much on the spot. Now, the problem is: when I'm performing live, do we have me inside a shower on the stage, or do we roll out a car for me to sit in while I perform?

You may think the solution is simple with the rising cost of fuel. But you have to look at the water bills also and the risk of 'pruning up' after being in the shower for a whole concert. What would the long term effect be? In the car, there's the carbon monoxide factor to consider, but in the shower, I have to guard against being electrocuted.

To answer your question, I spend about half of my day in the shower while recording the new album. The other half is split between recording in my car, then eating/sleeping. I hope this helps you.

short showers avg about 16-17 minutes but two or three times a week love having the water massage my low back(on the right side) for another 25 to 30 minutes it is so relaxing!!.....I installed a tankless water heater and can run both showers, every hot water faucet(3) and the clothes as well as dish washers at once and never run out of hot water...just have an outrageous gas bill in the first month after starting up the "TWH" my gas bill went from 4 therms to 10 therms of usage..nearly all of it long showers but the "TWH" starts every single time a hot water faucet is turned on..

About 20 minutes. 10 minutes to do all the necessities, and 10 minutes to enjoy the warm water, and get all the kinks out of my shoulders and neck.
I consider my shower a treat to myself after a long day in school or at work.

About 15 mins, when I am alone, longer up to 30 mins if showering with a partner, it takes time to wash & rub each others backs of course.
