You set your alarm clock, wake up when it buzzes, and kick yourself out of bed. Make it a habit, and soon, you'll have no problems.

A college degree these days is like a high school diploma was 50 years ago. Unless you are in a skilled manual labor job (e.g., union plumber) or are an entrepreneur (e.g., Bill Gates) you will have a hard time finding an interesting job and/or making a decent wages. Do you really want to be saying "Can I biggie size that for you?" when you're 50? Do you want to worry about health care costs when you get old? Dead-end unskilled jobs which are hard on your body and your spirit are likely what you will end up with unless you are very motivated -- which by your own admission you aren't. Think about the jobs you are qualified for now -- would they sound good to you when you have your own family and your knees hurt (oh, and your knees will hurt when you get older, even if you get a desk job!)

Then what was the point in even going to college.? College is very expensive and I wish I should have went to college. I am 21 and never even tried to get into one b/c I went straight to work and I am thinking about going to school at night. Just b/c of the fact that I think I could get a better job and more money and have people look at me different b/c i went to college and done something good with my life for a change. If you didn't wanna go to college then you have never even went. If you can't even get yourself to go then whats the point? Wasting money and time when you could be learning something and then having it pay off in the future when you have kids and start a family and then you would be able to have a great job like most others don't and some don't even have jobs, and then possibly build your own home. I am going to go back to college b/c no one in my family on my dad's side hasn't even went and I think it would look really great for my reputation. Just think about all the things that could change after you get out. Don't think about it now. Think about your future...You also have to be responsive in class in order for it to be interesting...I would be asking questions all the time. Learning new things that people don't even know about. I would love it!

I know how you feel, especially early classes or classes that you don't think you're learning much in, however, you are paying for it, and it helps to have a college degree when you enter the workforce. So you just have to keep telling yourself those few things and hopefully you will be more motivated.

It sounds like you are too immature to be in college. Perhaps you need to get a job and return to college when you are more motivated.
In the meantime you are wasting the large sums of money spent on your education and you are ruining your chances of finding a decent job with a decent salary. If that means nothing to you, drop out and go to work.

Just go downtown and look at the homeless people on the streets in the winter! I think that will motivate you!
