how do you delete a security comp-any from your computer if you don't want it in your computer? please help.

when I got my computer about 6 months ago it had McFee security already on it. I wnat it out of my computer. How do I do this? I would like to put in another security company in my company but it won't let me because of the McFee still in there. Please help me TY

Go to Start-->Control Panel-->Add/Remove Programs and choose Macafee from the list to uninstall it. Running two or more AV's at the same time is a major conflict waiting to happen.
The next step is to install your new anti virus. Don't take to long though, the longer you're on the net without an AV the higher the odds of infection.
I recommend Nod32 as a replacement. It's the best, beating all comers for years.
Also, if you don't have a firewall, get one. Zonelabs offers a free version of ZoneAlarm though the Pro version is best. Their AV sux, so ignore it.
