I am writing a informative paper and I was wondering how many words in a row is considered plagiarism..?

Is it like 3 or 4 or something?

General rule of thumb- If you take more than four consecutive words from anothers paper or speech, you must place quotations around it, give credit to who said it, and list that author, or person in your works cited list.

The previous poster is correct. I believe it is 4 words. Just take a minute of two to "readjust" what you have read that you want to add to your paper. slight adjustments, or rearaingments of words makes it yours.
