Is an appleTV a DVR also?

I am not sure if I thought it was or actually heard it somewhere but I thought that you could record content from you cable/dish/TV and send it to your pc. Maybe I thought that this was possible because of its hard drive, but I didn't know if anyone knew.

No it is not. But who knows what it will become in the future.
