Look idiot to make rape murder etc. anything other than a crime would be to ignore the victim in the case of marijuana the victum only exist because the goverment prosecutes If I an adult sold a bag of pot to you an adult we could go to prison who did we hurt. The goverment has no right to enforce that and stand by while unborn children are aborted oops i mean murdered

You could also call it the war on freedom. They will never give it up however because it grants the government the power to seize property and money without due process
The US should follow the dutch model used by Holland, they have less drug abuse and more control over substances because the regulate and tax them.

if they actually wanted to win the war on drugs they would legalize all of them .. the check on it would be if employers still had the right to refuse employment based on drug use and education, alcohol is legal and u get a few alcoholics from that, but they would have us believe they care so much for us that they dont want drugs freely available because everyone would get messed up .. people that are going to do drugs are already doing them illegal or not.... but the war on drugs is a war on controlling the drug money ...

Any suggestion that the only way to win the war on drugs is to legalize them is insane. Using that line of logic we can legalize murders, robberies, child abuse, treason, etc. and that would solve those problems, After all, if they are legal they are not a problem. Our crime statistics would improve dramatically.

I don't think that we will ever completely get rid of drug abuse but if our borders were controlled better we could make vast improvements. There are drugs produced in the US that we will always have to deal with but by stopping the drugs being brought in from other countries it severely cuts what drugs are here

For what we spend on the war on drugs, the feds could buy all the raw drug crops and burn them, then take the excess money and save social security. But, there are too many people eatting at that table, it will never go away.

There is not really a war to stop drugs. It is a big part of our great economy that provides jobs, jobs, jobs. We would have terrible unemployment if there were no drug use in this country. What would the lawyers, judges, prison guards, police depts, medical professionals, and the millions of folks that have jobs to support them do?
