I think it is more of an insult to be with someone less attractive.

It wouldn't matter. She could be more or less, that has nothing to do with WHY men cheat so I don't think I would care.

There are two things I'd like to share:

- Like in the "eye of the beholder" attraction isn't always measured in the same way everyone does. What one is attracted about may be totally for non-physical reasons. So, while the other person isn't as physically attractive as you are, there might be something else that he obviously sees in that other person.

- No matter what, the effect is the same. If the other person is physically more attractive, the tendency will be for you to compare all the other things you do for him relative to what she does and still be upset about it.

I think if your spouse does that to you, the best revenge is to just let go, seriously.

Obviously your spouse has no moral character, has low self-esteem or a million other issues. You are better than that and should not have to deal with it. Besides if you let go, your spouse will have to live with the guilt of having cheating on a good person and believe it or not, as long as he has a conscience, guilt will bother him till the day he dies.

People (men and women) cheat with someone who makes them FEEL a certain way. Looks usually have less to do with it.

In other words (granting NO excuses to the cheated), it should taken as an indication of how happy they are with their spouse, not how attractive they are.

I'd rather it be someone less attractive because then I would know that I am the very best he can get and I wouldn't be jealous of her looks...

I'm self-conscious about my appearance so I'd like it to be someone less attractive. Maybe someone really fat & smelly & covered with zits...yeah, thats what Id want for the cheating rat!

It would be an insult to me that he cheated no matter what the other person looked like.

I'd prefer not to think about it because it makes me angry either way. If he were to cheat on me, it wouldn't really matter what that person looked like, I would be too upset to care.

It wouldn't matter to me....cheating is cheating. I could care less whether they were better looking or not.

Either way I would be hurt. If she was pretier, than I would feel intimidated. If she were less attractive then I would feel like damn what am I. So either way it really wouldn't matter. I would be way more focused on his infedility than her looks.
