Kyla,

If you are looking at love through the glasses given to you by the social conditioning you've undergone then yes, any age can love. But if you look at the true definition of love (to embrace each others faults and virtues and make them work in favor of all involved) then it is difficult for a 14 year old to love.

In order to truly love, one must possess patience, tolerance, discretion, the will to sacrifice, understanding and many other traits. At 14 a young woman is just breaking out of the shell, so to speak, thus making her not emotionally prepared to nurture a true love relationship.

I am 51 have been married 20 and I am still working at it. I know many people my age and younger who have no clue as to what love really is are having a tough go at their relationships.

I hope this has answered your question and given you a different insight at what real love is.

It can be true at 14. However, I dont believe it can be everlasting.
Please do NOT make a life commitmant at 14 or 16.......or even 18. There's much living and experiences to take place before such decisions should be considered.

Being tightly joined at the hip with one person at 14 can alter
their whole development. They could be in love, but the amount of "love" experience they know at that age is small. Often we are so knocked over by someone being nice to us, we don't see the total picture of life long goals, ambition, emotional stability.....
14 is the age of discovery with your friends and exploring
the world with friends and family. Being too wrapped up in a boyfriend will only limit your life experiences. Being involved with the boyfriend in a larger group of friends is better to keep up the social interaction needed in developing relationships. It gives you a chance to see how that person will react in all situations also.

I think it can be love and if it is then it will still be love when they are 18 and ready to think about a serious relationship. Encourage your friend to be careful, if getting physically involved then to use protection every time. For it to be the real thing would be unusual but not impossible.

Hell no! It's just infatuation or puppy love. True love is not just a feeling, it's also something you learn over time. You have to be with a person for years before you open heartedly love and understand that person and I don't think children have the maturity and experience to know how to deal with it.

not at all.its all movies and all other stuff which make them feel so.at this age all it is attraction.nothing else.u like some one and he is the way u want some one to be with you .you think its love. no my dear.at this age they are unaware of the ups and downs of life.

at this age it could ge good friendship which would later may be after some years turn into love but not at this age.
