you can copy some stuff off the hard disk to a cd/dvd and delete them from the hard disk to make space.

Ah, cleaning my friends' hard disks is one of my favorite hobbies, coz I HATE FULL DRIVES!!!

Anyway, try doing these tips:
>>> go to Start > Run... > type "cleanmgr" (this is the Disk Cleanup program). Make sure all checkboxes are checked, except your "Recycle Bin". I suggest you delete those files yourself; you might find files there that you might need in the future...

>>>Search for the folder "RECENT" and delete the files in it. RECENT is your "My Recent Documents"

>>> Finally, go to Start > Run... > type "msconfig". Click the Startup Tab, and make sure to check all programs that you wigh to run everytime you turn on your PC. (Caution: be careful in selecting programs. if you see "explorer" in the list, CHECK IT. without it, your PC's goners)...

Well, hope this helps (it helped me a lot...)

Try to clear your internet history and cookies and then scan your computer for spy ware then defrag the hard drive, this will free up a little space.

You have to purchase a larger hard disk and have it installed. There's no other way around it if you need the same amount of information available at all times.

It can't be full of just programs. If you have pictures and music and movies, move them to an external hard drive (you can still have it attached via USB). External hard drives are pretty cheap nowadays.
