You can do a reverse lookup online. I'm in the US and I always use http://www.whitepages.com/10001/search/ReversePhone . I don't know if you have the whitepages in Canada, but I bet you have something similar if not. Just google reverse lookup. There are a lot of free ones, but watch out because some try to charge you.

Try www.whitepages.com I've never used it for a Canadian number but who knows. Try the Reverse Phone Lookup search and put in the number.

Use a "Reverse number lookup" online. I would go to www.yahoo.com andtype this in the box, enter and you should get a number of possible sites.

You might also try www.iaf.net (if you have phone numbers/addresses you can use the reverse directory)

You can call the operator and they can do a reverse search just by the # alone.
