yes you can, I did and we've been together 3 1/2 years now with a 2 year old son and planning more babies!
I did love him before I met him it just intensified when I saw him in the flesh the first time.
Meeting him on-line let us get to know each other first without awkward silences, neither of us lied in the e-mails or on the phone. so when we met 1 month after first 'meeting' we got on really really well .
we lived over 100 miles apart and I'd just started a floristry nvq but I loved him too much to be apart so I moved in with him after 3 months, we've had some really sh*t times and survived them all!

I don't think so.... You can find someone you "click" with, that shares your feelings and thoughts and acknowledges them. I was writing someone online, he was sweet, we could talk about anything, and everything. He made me smile often. I flew up to Oregon to meet him while on a trip to visit a relative who was in the hospital, and once I met him, it was different. It wasn't that he was ugly or anything like that, he just wasn't the same in person. I recommend you meet and take it from there, and keep a hold of your feelings while just an "online" thing. However I did start talking online to another, and we have been seeing each other for 7 months, but I decided to meet him early in the "online" relationship and it worked out better

'course you can "fall in love", 'cos you can fall for rock stars, actors, footballers etc even if you've never met them. Much of it is fantasising and idealising them into being the ideal man/woman -much like you, in fact. But real love means you don't mind cleaning the pubic hairs out of the bath, accepting morning sickness vomit or the skid marks on his pants. Real love is nitty gritty and often not very pretty!

Oh absolutley, but its not a lasting relationship. You have to be careful cause a lot of guys use a lot of names and can more than one girl online at the same time. I know one gal, from my chat room, that was 'in love' with this guy and he lived in another state but his brother lived in hers, so he would go up there to meet her. It lasted almost a year and then his wife emailed her!
It's nice to be in love but figure the relationship rarely lasts over a year. There have been a few that actually got married but a it is a very small percentage the odds are against you.

I did and started seeing them for 6 months and had a fantastic time unfortuanatly the distance was too much as i was too young to make a commitment as big as moving, but i do believe it can happen just remeber to be careful, find out as much as you can, dont build your hopes up to much, take things slowly to start with and if you ever arrange to meet always make sure someone knows where you are going who you are meting and when to expect you back also a good idea to meet at first in open and public places only. Good Luck xx

i dont know about falling in love but you can certainly develop strong feelings for them. BAck when i was internet dating i developed feelings for at least 2 people online. One of them i eventually met up with , but by then the feelings had already been established.
based on my experiences, I suspect you could fall in love with someone, particularly if you are more attracted to personality than looks.

I wouldn't call it love..as such. You may have a close affinity to their way of thinking or the way they put their comments or feelings across but nothing beats a good face to face to see if you love someone.
That doesn't mean go out and meet this person...no way...too many nasty things have happened to people who have met others from the internet. You don't know if the person is who they say they are.
Just let yourself feel warm with their comments...don't get hooked and get all mushy!!

Not exactly, I think someone can fall in love with the idea of this person, but not the actual person.

Not without meeting them, no. Reading mails or chatting online with a total stranger can get you excited and give you butterflies but it's all an illusion. If there is chemistry then you can fall in love but you need to meet that person first. And falling in love doesn't happen overnight anyway
