1. To achieve our military goals and secure Iraq and Afghanistan for their people's future, and our own.

2. Do everything reasonable to protect our home and our allies from terror.

3. Keep the economy strong.

From a neocons perspective:
1- A prolonged war to keep profits up in the defense sector.
2- A president who doesn't go by the rules of law and ethics.
3- Increased means of controlling the resources of other countries to keep our investments in those resources up!

From a true American's perspective:
1- Fixture of the checks and balances that was damaged.
2- A moral president with the countries' interests in mind.
3- A smaller, less intrusive, controllable government of the people. By the people!
