The famous short story writer HH Munro, otherwise known as Saki died in the trenches in the first world war. He volunteered, rather than be called up, and was standing next to a tommy who started to light up a cigarette. This was obviosuly a bad move when snipers would aim at any light that suddenly appeared. Saki's last words were "Put that bloody cigarette o-!"
Sad but somewhat funny.
My last words, if I knew I was going, would be "Are we there yet?"
