Ok, this is all in good fun. So, my idea is, come up with an original band name that includes a political figure, philosphy, ideology or doctrine. The best answer gets the points...

An example - Karl Marx & The Failed Ideologies

ed-mike - I'm 39, so hardly a youth. You totally missed the point of the question.

The world was very different in 1973 and you a so quick to brush over the bang up job Carter did with Iran and the hostages.

political: lots of choices here. Sex Pistols might be a good example. Also, Public Enemy or The Beatles. emo: Are we talking about the original bands, or what MTV is selling as emo? I'm not a fan of either, but the original sound came from hardcore punk. I'd suggest doing a little research on Wikipedia and Allmusic. Sexual: Easy. 2 Live Crew. They got sued for obscenity, back in the 80s. Or was it the 90s? It's such a haze... Also, there's Poison and Motley Crue, who both sucked pretty hard, but they're good examples. Gangsta: NWA. Pretty definitive there. Anything with Ice-T.
