Cyndi Lauper originally recorded and also wrote (with Rob Hyman) "Time after Time" back in 1983, but over 100 different artists cover it...

Miles Davis, DJ Sammy, Dilana, Everything But the Girl, Eddie Money, The Hooters, Matchbox Twenty, INOJ, Lil' Mo, The Kreep, Blaque, Eva Cassidy, Willie Nelson, Uncle Kracker, Distant Soundz, the Gandharvas, Joey McIntyre, Nichole Nordeman, Patti LuPone, Sugar Ray, Spoken, Gameface, Quietdrive, TRUSTcompany, Natalie, Cassandra Wilson, and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes....etc...etc...etc.

I hope that helps! (^_^)

The most populat version of Time After Time that came out in awhile is from Eva Cassidy. This was released on the SmallvilleTV show and soundtrack. It could easily be mistaken for Jewel.
