Not one of the better episodes.

Not as bad as the one where aliens stole Spock's brain.

Before 'Amok Time' there is the pilot called 'The Cage'. In the cage a very young Spock (still played by Leonard Nimoy) and another officer are sampling plant life on the planet. Spock shows delight when he sees a flowring plant (possibly for the first time?) and gives a great big toothy smile! After that, with the exception of Amok Time, Spock seldom, if ever, showed any emotions. But in The Cage he was still experimenting with the character. Hence....emotions!

It wasn't the Khan episode, it was "The Way to Eden". The "hippies" were a group of young adults who were leaving their parents' way of life (pretty much like the real hippies were), but when they got to the planet they called Eden, they all died from eating poisoned fruit.

Spock never actually sings with them.
They play alone when he listens, He plays his harp and sings alone while they listen, they then play with him and Uhura sings as Spock plays his harp.

Spock never actually sings with them.

Can't remember the name of the episode though ;-)
