I didn't cry, but I freaked out. I was only 8, see. It was too soon. But then my mom had already had the talk with me, and I knew what to expect, just not so soon. My mom was freaked out too, since I was so young. But then my grandma reminded mom that she, too, was only 8 when she started hers.
It was at least 6 months before I had a second one. Then it was monthly after that.

I didn't cry, but I was NOT happy. I had three older brothers and was a bit of a tomboy. I wanted nothing to do with it. Or anything "girly" for that matter. So I was very self conscious about it. That didn't last though...you really don't have much of a choice!

well I was 10 yrs old, so i was very young. yes i was very embarassed it happened as soon as i woke up one morning at my aunts house it was kinda scary but i did know what it was about because it's almost all women in our family so i knew about it before hand. i did not tell my mom for almost a year but i think she knew anyway because she finally asked me and she always kept pads in the bathroom.
i hated it, yes in deed i was so young and then after that i got everything else too exspecially the boobs well i kinda already had some boobs when i was nine.

i was upset that i may have ruined my fave pair of jeans!
i was a little overwhelmed--esp since my mom's "talk" consisted of sliding an old pamphlet about it under the door and a "bottom left drawer" and it was never mentioned before or after.
although the first cramps i had all the day before almost made me cry!

i was at school, and i knew about it so it didnt come as a shock. i came back from the bathroom and told my teacher i needed to call my mom. i told her why and she started crying saying how much i had grown and it was natural. i just said ok, mom lets go to the store.

i didn't cry but i remember being kinda embarrassed to tell anyone including my mother, i was only 10 years old(very young)
