This movie came out in the 80's I guess. It was a movie about a worldwide nuclear war that killed off life in all the major nuclear countries. It takes place in Australia, and the people there are waiting for the massive clouds of radiation to reach them, when they will all die. It's very sad.

Does anyone know the title of this movie?

This movie took place in Australia. There were some Americans stationed there, and they had a submarine. They went back to the US to see if anyone was alive, but found the radiation was too high for life.

The world is dying from radiation that is spreading. Australia is one of the last places not affected. But that is about to end and the radiation clouds are coming. They are all preparing to die. It's a novel and movie called On the Beach. It was originally made in 1959 with Gregory Peck but you might be remembering a TV version made in 2000 starring Armand Asante. Good stuff

On The Beach, with Gregory Peck and Ava Gardner. Great book, decent movie. Anthony Perkins and Fred Astaire are excellent too.
