For Yahoo | G mail :
1.Activate Forwarding and Pop
2.Open outlook now go tools
3.Create a new account
4.Now type in ur account
5.Give an incoming server gate and outgoing pop server as well as give a SMTP and FTP all will be given on mails website during the time of Forwarding and pop enabling
USE THOSE HELP FEATURES FOR THEIR PERSONAL YAHOO OR G MAIL POP SETTINGS
6.Now u can enter ur user name and password
7.you r done
8.Start receiving and sending mails
But i guess configuring outlook is all traditional
now people use web based mail service
like yahoo g mail msn ..........
