hi, i'm half czech... the czech republic is located in eastern europe, bordering with germany, austria,poland, and slovenia. It was an ex-comunist country. Comunism fell in 1991, and in 1993, from "Czechloslovakia" it became The Czech Republic.
The food is similar to German and Hungarian (schniztel, gulasch, halushki...), and it has the best beer in the world :)
Prague is a great romantic city, full of museums and art exhibits. Second most important city is Brno, more modern and "younger" than the capital. The southern region of Bohemia is beautiful and famous for it's forests and lakes. The Czech republic is very inexpensive, the people are friendly, but not too many can speak english.

Sorry Annicka but you are wrong. The Czech Republic does not border Slovenia, it borders Slovakia.
