I love lucid dreams. Haven't had one in a long time. Usually I am able to fly. Lucid dreams are great because you realize you're dreaming & then you can do whatever you want. I guess if you have one again then just tell yourself it's a dream & you don't have to obey earth's rules & then just fly...Good luck!

Lucid dreams still run by the rules that your head creates that govern your body in waking life. If you want to fly, you won't. If you happen to be flying, you sometimes realize it's a dream. For me, I know when I am dreaming when I try to read something. I can read it (unlike the movie "Waking Life" where everything is scrambled), but it is blatantly wrong. The last lucid dream I had, I was trying to buy a bottle of soda from a vending machine and I noticed that they were charging $1.26 on one machine and $1.17 on another and $0.87 on yet another. I looked around and realized that the room was filled entirely with vending machines, so I blinked myself out of that room and into my elementary school, where I was taught sex ed by the female prosecutor from Law and Order (you know, the one that was fired and asked if it was because she was a lesbian). So, I figured I might as well have a good time while I was there. Unfortunately, I quickly learned that you can't get over-excited in a lucid dream or you will wake up. Next time you realize you are dreaming, just remain calm. It's like waking life, if you realized that you could fly, you would immediately want to do it and your heart would beat faster because of it. Just remain calm. Don't try to jump, but float. Guide your dream to a point that reminds you of flying (be it an airplane wing, a rooftop, a steep staircase or road)... For me, it's the sidewalk in my front yard. I just imagine myself there, and poof! there I am. Then I lift up my legs and sort of glide against gravity. Of course, the last time I did this, I ran into a cartoon pirate, who demanded that I stop floating, and I grudgingly abided... So remember, if you realize you're dreaming and you want to fly, dream yourself to another place that familiarizes your dreaming self with flying. And the funny thing is, once you have this one place down solid, you could never look at it the same way in waking life!

Lucid dreaming is one of the most wonderful experiences you can have on this planet. If you truely want to fly, then you should. Lucid dreaming is affected by personal, so even when you dream you cannot truely escape from the difficulties of this planet. Tips for good lucid dreaming.
Eat cheese, cheddar preferably, (somehow it really does work!)
Try and be content everytime you go to sleep.
People who meditate and lead healthy lifestyles are more likely to lucid dream.
If you really feel as if you still need to escape, even more so than lucid dreaming, then you can try and perfect the art of astral travel. its more difficult than lucid dreaming, but the feeling is meant to be amazing. if you google 'tips for astral travel' you can get loads of advice and support. im still trying myself. im almost there! i hope you can too! dont care about what anyone else thinks. its the most amazing thing in the world.
Good Luck!! :D

Other worlds, other lives, other rules. While here, the rules are set. But you might find, as Jesus did, that the rules have more slack than we're taught.
Patricia Garfield has some books about lucid dreaming. I've flown in my dreams, though less as I've grown older. Enjoy.

I've learned how to fly in my dreams.
Imagine yourself doing it in real life. Imagine what it would look like if you flew up out of the ceiling and saw the landscape and horizon.
It takes imagination to see the landscape and will power to stay afloat. Remember it's not really your body, it's your mind. You have to focus on feeling weightlessness. I focus my eyes on a cloud or star and will myself toward it. Look down and get a horizon. Then will yourself toward the horizon.
Try meditating. There is no spoon. lol.

I found my self flying down the stairs of my house one night. I knew I had to be dreaming. and I was.
Best dream I ever had was one week in Hawaii one night. I went jet skiing, sailing, fishing, scuba diving and beach tanning. all in one night. I woke up feeling like I just got back from vacation. The best part was that I did not have to pay the credit card bill. lol

I've been blessed with many real lucid dreams. I wake up and i can still remember them clearly. They seem so real. In one of them i was walking down a street where their were street venders selling all sorts of stuff. Then all of a sudden i saw hundreds of planes in the sky the more i looked the more appeared. They grew louder and louder then they all started dropping bombs. People were screaming all over "Help! What is happening? I've been hit! OH God help us!" I started running then all of a sudden i was flying in the air. My mind wasn't on the thrill of flying though. I had a mission and it was to defend my country. I flew into planes and pulled people out of them. They were the open planes which held only two people. There was one person flying the plane and one person dropping bombs. I was throwing the person dropping the bombs out of the planes. I remember braking off one of the fighters arms and throwing it into a river. I felt like i was an action hero. It wasn't any fun it was very distrubing and scary. Then in another part of the dream i was in a big car lot and it was being bombed also. I remember running from shots that were being fired at me. I remember running and running. i was running through neighborhoods i never saw before with buildings i never saw before. It looked like i was in a different country. I ran into A building that had a bunch of lockers. It looked like a school building. I open the lock on my locker and it was just big enough for me to squeeze into i found steps leading down into the dark. I went in as far as i could and shut the locker so no one could follow me. I backed down the steps and as i did i heard music. When i got all the way down i found myself in a big room full of people. There was an important meeting going on. I sat down in one of the chairs next to someone who greeted me by saying "God bless you." The people who went up to speak talked about God and how God would protect us. They talked about how we need to stay reading God's word and in fellowship with each other till the end. The people talked about the ruler of that day and how he was evil and not from God. They talked about how it was now our mission to inform the inocent people that we were in a war now of Good against eviil. The people of God against the people of Saten. The one world religion that was being inforced was a religion worshiping and praying to the president of the world. There was no more United States nor did we have freedom any more do do whatever we chose to do. Food was very hard to come by for people who didn't comply with the new laws. Everyone had to make a choice who they would serve. The people who choose the one world president god a number coded tatoo on their hand or forehead. The people who chose God got a symbl of a dove that only followers in God could see. I don't have time to write more for you now but if you want to hear more of my dreams let me know. Ask God to give you dreams! Their awsome!
