Can a engineering graduate do MBA with finance as specialisation? How about placements?

I have done B.Tech Polymer Technology and now in MBA first year. My friends tell me that specialisation in finance need financial background in UG and it is most considered for placements. But I am interested in doing finance.

Engineering is a particularly good background for getting an MBA in any field -- but especially in finance.

hi, All the specialization are good. Be it Operation, Finance, Marketing or HR. It all depends on your interest. As far as placement and companies are concerned it depends and changes from college to college.
