You need to divide 3 into your parenthesed part of the eqaution.
4/3n - 28/3 = 2n Then subtract 4/3n from both sides.
-28/3 = 2n - 4/3n Then convert 2n to 6/3n.
-28/3 = 6/3n - 4/3n
-28/3 = 2/3n Multiply both sides by 3/2
-28/3 x 3/2 = 2/3n x 3/2 The 3's will cancel each other out and you will have your answer.
-28/2 = n = -14
I hope this helps. Feel free to double check by plugging -14 into the original equation.

you have to multiply both sides by 3 to get rid of the fraction

(4n-28)/ 3= 2n
4n-28=6n
then take the N's to one side and the number to the other side

4n-6n=28
-2n=28
n=-14

Multiply both sides by 3

12n-84=6n
Add 84 to both sides
12n=6n+84
subtract 6n on both sides
6n=84
n=14
