hey i need a few little reminders with some set up stuff for my linux box.. what i need to know is what file do i use to change my resolution on my screen i know its some /etc/X11/ file path but i can't remember it..

If you are using any newer Linux Kernels, then, the video has been newly changed to X org.

I really recommend you grab the free http://pclinuxos.com and let it config the system. Actually, the improvements sped it all up a bit! The paths have changed.

So, the MAN and guides are included, too, in the PCLOS.

There are many good books available through your local public library which will answer many of your questions before you can even think of what you need to ask.
