I have PCOS and my doctor told me that I should be able to conceive that it might just take a little longer. He gave me Clomid 50 mg back in Oct. and I did ovulate and we tired to get pregnant but it didn't happen, we tried in Nov and Dec also but without Clomid. I have an appt. with him again the first day of Feb. to see if he wants to give me clomid again and up the dose. Has anyone tried this or know someone who has and how successful was it, my biggest fear is that I can't get pregnant (although the doc says I should be able to) and both my husband and I very much so want a baby.

Clomid is good if you are not ovulating properly. I don't know why you are going on and off of it. Why not try it for a few months in a row? I tried it it didnt work for me and I had terrible side effects. I ended up taking pergonal shots with a IUI and had beautiful healthy twins. Make sure you have a good doctor. I changed about 4 times and finally found one that I loved and got preg the first time that he treated me. Don't give up you WILL get your baby and it is all so worth it.

Clomid increases the likelihood of ovulating but reduces the quality of both your cervical mucus and your womb lining, increasing and reducing chances at the same time. Clinical studies have compared girls on Clomid with those having acupuncture, improvements in ovulation were about as good with both but there were more pregnancies with acupuncture & less miscarriages and complications in pregnancy. Consider acupuncture from a well qualified person. It may also help your PCOS.

A good fertility injection is - Follistim.
Talk to your doctor about it. It's very easy to use and it usually gives great responses.
P.S. If you will get pregnant pray for me! I wish you all the luck in the world.
