Many of them have Bell helmets - cheap, but they at least do pass DOT approval, which is more than I can say of some cheap helmets.

Almost any Wal-Mart will have construction boots. They provide good protection for riding, but they are not as comfortable as serious construction boots like Red Wings or Wolverines.

Sometimes you'll see leather jackets that look like biker jackets in Wal-Mart, but they aren't real motorcycle jackets. The leather is thinner, they almost never have vents for hot weather riding, and they don't have the padding that really serious motorcycle jackets have to protect you from falls.

Once I saw a couple of Bell helmets (during bike week). Other than that they do not carry motorcycle specific gear. As mentioned, thier leather is for show. You can get your street clothes there, but not the protective gear. They carry cheap work boots, which many consider good enough for riding.

MY gear: LeHigh work boots, from the safety shoe truck.
Leathers, gifts from family (other riders) heavy leather jacket and chaps from a real bike place, Helmet from Honda/Yamaha dealer, jeans, T-shirt and socks from WalMart.

A few stores do sell some gear. Mostly from Bell. Helmets, gloves and small bags, etc. You can also buy tire repair kits, MC oil & filters cheaper than going to a MC shop.

I bought a Bell Helmet there last year. The also had some other items: gloves, tire repair kits, small took kits, covers, ect. Not all the stores have this stuff and it is seasonal. Mainly in the spring when everyone is ramping up for the warm weather. I went back later for a cover and they were sold out.

I have seen Helmets and such, boots - not too good of quality on the boots, and a few things here and there. I would look online at Walmart.com. BUT what I would really do if I wanted something would be to head to my local shop. Nothing beats trying it on and supporting fellow riders and their business!

Uh no. trust me you would not want to ride yopur bike in walmart gear even if they sold it. You want to have good pads for when you wipe out. try looking on chapparall.com or just look up motorcross and you will find lots of companies that have riding gear. If your looking for street gear just buy leather and enjoy your skin whill its still attached hehe.
good luck.

I have seen boots(good quality), leather jackets(so-so) and(sport)goggles. That's about all the gear that could be used on a cycle that I've seen. Check "wal-mart.com" and see what they say.
