How come there are no reality shows on MTV with 5 Blacks/Minorities, and 2 Whites????

MTV has so called reality shows but they only have shows for one race. If the show does have African American's on it, we are telling jokes or singing and dancing, looking like fools. The only show for African Americans is Run's House, and that is still based around a Rapper. Is that all Black's are good for is Rapping and telling jokes?

wow. i can't believe you think MTV is too white, that is the blackest channel i have ever seen besides Al Jazeera and Bollywood TV, all the people on it are rappers who 'pimp their rides' and swear and stuff, all the other channels are predominally white like sky one, BBC, ITV and Channel 4, but since MTV is my window as to what my life would be like if I was born in California as opposed to England, i was just thinking the other day, how everyone on it is black or mexian.

I always thought MTV was really black....most of the music videos they show are rap and black oriented music (but really they don't show many videos anymore..it's mostly reality TV shows like you said).

I can't stand shows like Laguna Beach, The Hills and Next. But there are shows such as Runs House, Pimp My Ride, Nick Cannon's Wild N Out, now there's something called Trick My Truck, etc. Shows like Parental Control and Next have their share of black people on.

The Video Music Awards are almost all black now. If MTV's not black enough, then I don't know what is! And no, blacks are not just good for rapping and telling jokes, but it's MTV....isn't that what they're supposed to be doing?

I continually idea MTV become truly black....rather some the music video clips they instruct are rap and black oriented music (yet truly they don't instruct many video clips anymore..it is often actuality television shows like you reported). i'm able to't stand shows like Laguna coastline, The Hills and next. yet there are shows which include Runs homestead, Pimp My journey, Nick Cannon's Wild N Out, now there is something noted as Trick My Truck, and so on. shows like Parental administration and next have their percentage of black human beings on. The Video music Awards are purely about all black now. If MTV's no longer black adequate, then i do not understand what's! And no, blacks at the prompt are not purely good for rapping and telling jokes, even though it is MTV....isn't that what they're meant to be doing?

MTV is basing their shows off representations of American society because that's where the money is. There are more white kids in America than black kids, this is why in shows like the real world you will have the standard MTV package...3 whites,2 blacks and 1 gay. It covers the entire spectrum of AMerican youth.
What MTV will do however, is make sure they pick white kids who act black because that's what most white kids are into today.

That show would be on BET. MTV caters to suburban white kids in a nutshell with a few dashes of color so as not to offend.

A better question to ask would be why in the hell MTV has turned into anything but Music Television.

You need to look again because I've seen black people in almost all MTV shows;- real world, sweet sixteen, making the band, Wild n Out w/ Nick ......

I guess you've seen what you wanted to see......blacks just know how to rap. and that's all!!!!

as far as us acting like idiots on tv, it seems that is what sells b/c its whats entertaining to them...just like the minstrel shows years ago where people would paint their faces black and dance around like clowns, same thing. Intellectual african americans seem to scare people.
