On some stoves you need a conversion kit with different size orfices. Many of the newer stoves don't need this changout. They have adjustable valves (small screws) that simply adjust for gas or LP. An appliance store may know your stove and what is needed.

If the stove is a newer model, you can buy the necessary fittings at any hardware store and the stove may already be compatable for the transition.

You have to change the jets in the burners and or the regulator if so equipped. Just look up LP conversions in your browser and you'll find some conversion kits that are available.
