Simply that. How do you do it? What spacing is needed? How should it be formatted?

My book is in first person and throughout the whole book she (the main character) will be emailing her best friend that she moved away from telling her best friend about all of her adventures.

This is only my opinion, but I would take the text of the email and indent left and right, and use a different font.

This would be an example of the indent, but
Yahoo doesn't have format capabilities for
changing the font.

You could use a font that looks like handwriting, but whatever, you need to set it off from the narrative somehow. (Unfortunately, Yahoo apparently doesn't seem have the indent capability either, but you get the idea).
