I was at a gymnastics meet and I broke my ankle. My b/f ended up carrying me to the trainer, but he felt bad b/c I was crying.
Why do guys hate to see girls cry??
Even his friend felt bad. He said he felt bad especially when I came out on crutches, and ended us with third place(out of 60)
He thought I did good but I told him I didn't think so.
Why does he think I did good when I think I did bad??
Why do all the guys get excited when a gymnast does a cool trick and go "oooooh" when she falls?? Don't they know it makes it worse??

So you're saying that you'd prefer guys to not care about you at all?
And also, girls don't care whether you're crying or not eh?
Why are you limiting this to just guys? We're ALL human! People expect so little from males these days it's unbelievable. Women AND men have the ability to care, and if people care about you that TENDS to be a good thing. If someone's crying you want to make them feel better. Sad people tend to give off sad vibes and upset people, whereas happy people tend to give off happy vibes and make them cheery too.
He's a boyfriend, not a gymnast trainer. Do you expect him to know what a double hand-spring twist into a sidestep followed by a cartwheel is? (Yeah, it's made up-- but it's just an example k?) He's here to support you and encourage you, plus gymnastics is impressive to a lot of people. A magician might not find magic tricks as impressive as your average Joe, ya know?
And come on! 3rd out of 60 is NOT bad - you've got to give yourself that.
People wouldn't be watching the gymnastics if they weren't impressed by it. The excitement's what they come for!
The "oooooh" is just a natural response to a negative outcome. You fall and grave your knee, someone's going to go "ooooh." It doesn't help, no, but it does grab other people's attention who could possibly help you. Maybe that's what it's for.
Hope this helps.

Guys feel bad when a girl cries because for some unknown reason they think they could have prevented it. They don't always realize that it's not their fault and end up feeling guilty. I wondered about the same question until I had a guy friend of mine fully explain it to me. As for why he thought you did good even though you didn't think so... is you always look so much better from the eyes of someone that loves you than the way you look at yourself. Finally guys get all excited because they get really into no matter what they're doing so when someone does well it's really exciting and when someone doesn't do so well they are a little surprised by the mistake. It doesn't mean anything and you shouldn't take the ooooohs personally because guys don't realize it's making things worse. They try to be insensitive and don't usually understand how girls feel.

Him and his friends feel bad for you because they are showing empathy. He's saying you did good when you did bad because he's trying to support and encourage you. They get excited when gymnasts do a cool trick because, well, it's cool, and when they fall, they go "oooooh" to show their disappointment and it's like a one-sound way of saying "that's gotta suck". Feel happy that you have such a caring/compassionate boyfriend. He's supporting you and trying to do his best to be there for you. Well, seems like it to me, anyway. =)

My 16 year old says to tell you its aweful seeing a girl cry! He hates it when he feels like it was HIS fault for her emotional pain and all so he feels badly about it. My husband cried the day our son was born! I didnt think he had it in him-but sure enough he bawled like a baby! Guys just dont think its a macho thing to do- crying so they will never admit it to anyone for gods sake!!!! Teenage boys ALWAYS find a way to make things worse! I know cuz I have one! lol They r just trying to have fun and not using their brains and common sense God gave to all of us!

Hey, it isn't bad getting third place even though you broke your ankle.
Anyway, guys don't like to see girls cry because it's men's instinct to protect women, and when women cry it usually means something's wrong.

It depends why she is crying. If someone breaks their ankles of course you are going to feel bad. But if she is just crying cause of something stupid i wouldnt feel bad.

When you get older & get married, just remember just cry a little & you can get what you want from a man. We would rather hurt ourselves than see girls cry.
