my kids love their wagons.

You throw it all in the car and don't take more than you need. Generally things with wheels aren't good in sand but take a stroller/wagon if you are planning to do sightseeing activities like shopping or going to an aquarium. The wagon would probably be most useful to bring because you can also load your stuff (chairs, towels, cooler, bags) onto it to get to and from your hotel.
