I think it is another form of "damn the Western world - they built themselves on the slavery of the rest of the world, and now it's payback time!".

Billions of dollars poured from Western nations that NEED to use more energy (ever been to Canada in January? The windchill in Baker Lake, NU is -60 right now) into tropical nations that do NOT need as much energy. By the way, the massive populations of India and China may pollute as much as they wish, no problem - even though that will become the vast majority of pollution, and will be more than current worldwide pollution levels all put together.

It's a form of "rob from the hard-working rich and give to the lazier poor" communism.

I get so sick of the blame the US for everything wrong in the world myself. I liked it when other countries were complaining about their designation on the internet. Well, our tax dollars paid for the development of the internet, and if these countries want to re-imburse us for it, we will gladly let them choose their own designation code.
