My husband is an AF pilot and yes I feel your pain! Don't take it personal, first of all. It's just an escape. Try and work out a deal with him; say for every minute he's on the X-box he has to spend a minute with you. Or walk in front of him in lingerie. Or promise him a naughty surprise if he turns it off.
Also, with a little time it will just pass. My husband was addicted to Madden and for some reason thought "spending time together" was me watching him play and saying, "Wow, that was a good play, babe." Lol. Anyway, good luck, it will pass.

I am not a military wife, but my husband plays his 360 on-line EVERY day! He is a gamer and his profession. I too play games. But not as much as he does. I could sit right next to him and have a whole conversation and he wont answer me. He is like zoned out totally. It used to bother me but as I see it I would rather have him right where I can see him and know exactly what he is doing than worrying what time he will be home or who he is with or what he is doing. You do need to make your point on how you feel. You too need some of his time. Just tell him how you feel. Don't ever hold anything back in a marriage. Oh and one more thing, when he is playing have something to do. That could be considered time apart but in the same home.

Not a military wife but just a regular wife who's husbands addiction is the PS2. I finally started sitting and watching and playing the games with him and showing interest and it was great now i love the PS2 also, but even still hubby play the navy seals game for hours on end by his self...I finally give up on that one...But hey they could have other addictions that would make you wanna scream..so hey they are home in the house just i feel you..My hubby gets that zombied dazed look and does not even notice anything around him..But you get used to it realizing they could be doing alot WORSE things so i let him havfe his PS2 time..

Yeah its addicting o.k.. M ybrother have been given an xbox 360 fior his birthday and in the previous that I wasn't that fascinated in video games, yet for some reason i replaced into addicted to the 360. I even performed it greater advantageous than my brother reason its so relaxing and large, yet yeah its no longer stable to play if for relatively long hours. Te superb factor is to take breaks inbetween enjoying in any different case you would be able to truly tension their eyes. And stay is in basic terms straightforward mind-blowing, cuz you frequently face diverse human beings and its alwais a various undertaking so stay makes it greater addicting.

This happened to a friend of mine and she sold it while her husband was at work. He was pissed off but got over it and things are much better now between them. Maybe he is using this as a realease but tell him that maybe there is something you two can do together. Video games are for kids it is time for him to grow up and be a husband.

Men. My husband is not in the military but plays xbox all the time. I think that it is just men, honestly. Just talk to him, let him know how you feel. Usually, if I point this out to my man, he'll listen & put it up for awhile.

My military husband barely has time to eat and sleep, let alone play video games. Perhaps he uses it for stress relief, maybe you can find a better way to help him relieve his stress, preferably together. You need to address this problem, though, it's time for him to grow up.

You want him to quit? Then, get in there and start playing with him. Buy yourself a game that you think you might be somewhat interested in and start playing before he does.

it's an escape from reality where he is still in the war but won't die. Sounds as if he does need some help and you may have to tag along.
