A blood test will show if you are pregnant or not 7 days following conception.
If you do not chart or monitor your fertility in any way, and you think you may have conceived, you should wait 19 days (or longer) after having sex to test. Why 19?! Sperm can live approximately 5 days in the proper environment; if the sperm managed to live until you popped an egg, the actual conception could have taken place several days after the sex act that got the sperm there. To make sure you're not testing too early, assume the sperm had very long lives (5 days is considered a very long sperm life) and that conception occurred then. Then allow 14 days for the embryo to implant and develop enough hCG to show up on a pregnancy test (96% of pregnant women will test positive by then.)

It depends on the type of test you buy. Most tests recommend testing on the day your period is due, although you can buy some that can detect the pregnancy hormone in your urine up to four or five days before this. Make sure you read the instructions thoroughly to find out how long you should wait. If you are not sure when your period is due, the best idea is to wait for at least a 10 days after having had unprotected sex before testing (although it is worth remembering that it can take up to nineteen days or more to show a positive result). If you get a negative result but your period still doesn't arrive, you should test again at three-day intervals, until your period starts or you get a positive result. The sooner you find out you are pregnant, the sooner you can start thinking about what to do next.

As far as I'm aware, you can take a pregnancy test when your next period is due. Pregnancy tests work by detecting the hormone that stops your period happening (think it's called HGC?), so, if you take the test too early, it's possible to get a negative result on a test when you actually are pregnant. However, if the test says you are pregnant, then you definitely are, because you don't have that hormone in your body at any other time.

Wait about 9 months and if a baby pops out then you were pregnant if nothing pops out then you were not pregnant

as soon as you have a missed period you can do a test. but you can get tests you can use 4 days before your period is due

instinct, i knew straight away i did test after test they all said i wasn't but i knew i was, finally one said i was pregnant
