Isnt it like when we look at most wanted list on FBI website and just can tell that these particular people that are so dangerous always looked like they could be somebody who would commit crime? I mean of course we would never know, but at the same time most of pedofiles look certain way and act certain way. Most of cannibals or child molesters look certain way too....almost like their feelings that are currently present in their minds are exposed on their faces? For example, John Wayne Gacy aka "The killer klown" look like he had issues off the jump. Or Andrei Chikatilo aka "The red ripper" looked like he was psycopath and just troubles person. And what about Dr. Josef Mengele who was one of the docs in concetration camps in Auschwitz that is also know as "The Angel of Death", i dont know how they called him angel, but he look like he is pure evil and just not a human being related creature. Is there a connection between looks and behavior?

By weird looks i mean looking creapy. Looking like someone who have a lot of psycological issues. I dont want to stereotype and of course we cant judge book by its cover because we can never know that someone that sat next to you back in high school that looked and behaved just fine is not in jail for child molestation or murder. What i mean here that not all but most of these people look creapy and i mean some "Hills Have Eyes" or "Silent Hill" creapy.

Most gays look and act a certain way. Nothing against them, its just another example of a connection with looks and behavior. maybe a much larger example of it. Interpreting the looks of a serial killer, or much more depicting a serial killer on looks alone is by far not always accurate. I would guess to say that there are allot of look a likes that are not, on the same line i would say that there allot of are's that don't like is's. A margin of error always accrue when one uses looks alone to depict a state of being.

There have been many studies that looked at physical characteristics and crime. In the early and mid 20th century psychologists would go into the prisons and document physical characteristics of people (men) incarcerated for a variety of crimes. They concluded that thieves tended to have longer fingers, murderers had larger foreheads, etc. For awhile this was accepted. It was statistically supported. But we now know that this was bad science. The main problem is the subject pool. in prison you do not have a random sampling of the population. Based on this research if you have long fingers you shouldn't be trusted because you are a thief. When studied in the general population there is no statistical significance to a relationship between physical characteristics and criminals. You are looking at a select group of individuals and then drawing a conclusion. There are too many exceptions to count and once you look at "normal" people you will see similar characteristics. You are stereotyping.

Some do look strange, but the majority of serial killers look like clean cut, average people.
Ted Bundy was well known to be a handsome, persuasive, and likeable person. His only problem was that he liked to kill.
It's believed that Jack the Ripper was in fact a nobleman in the English Courts.....suave, debonair, and very lethal.
Never judge a book by it's cover.

I don't think so. I read alot of books on serial killers and it has to do with a huge number of factors, some being:
If they were abused as children,
Adopted,
Cruelty to animals,
Fascination with fire,
And anti-social characteristics.
Although most "look" creepy I don't think we can tell just by looks alone.

no relation. lombrosso, shelton and hooton claimed the relation between physical properties and criminal behaviour at the end of 19th century and at begiing of 20th century, but they are critisized by leaning theoricients later and today those kind of claims and debates that they made in past have already lost their validity.

i don't think so. not at first anyway. i think that once we know they are "bad guys" is when we look at them and say " yeah, he does look kind of creepy". if we were to meet a serial killer on the street we would't know it. this is how they are able to commit their crimes in the first place.by just blending in. its like they say-hind sight is 20-20
