Christian Bale gets naked in the film, so it's all right by me!! It's also pretty hilarious, but not as funny as the book.
I just wrote a 6,000 word essay on American Psycho, I'm a bit sick of it now, I used to love it. I met Bret Easton Ellis, he is suitably arrogant!!

I very much enjoyed the film and the book. The book is probably better (as with most things), but they are just different mediums. You just need to view the film as a sort of companion peice to the book.
And by the way, anyone who didnt enjoy the film clearly has no sense of humour.

The film was pants, but the book was actually quite good - unlike the other books I have read by Bret Easton Ellis which were also rubbish.

I don't think the film was as funny which was the point of American Physco, the violence is not so cartoonish in the movie. I don't think it was awful though-and the book is hilarious-not sure I'd read it 3 times...

The film was "alright", nothing I'd want to watch again. The book was pretty good, if I remember correctly. It was required reading in one of my college courses, so it's been a while. It was a good book, though.

I read the book when it came out - I thought it was pretty mediocre. I've never seen the movie.
