battery or starter problem It is normal for all that stuff to shut off when in the start position. The cars are made that way to use all the available amperage to start the car. You either don't have enough power to the starter due to a bad connection or the starter is bad. Check battery terminals for corrosion or loose connections. Check for loose connection at the starter. If you have access to a battery charger with a boost function you could hook it up to the battery and if your connections are good to the starter and it still won't start change the starter. You can also hook the battery charger or + cable straight to the starter to see if it works, this will tell you for sure it is the starter. Be careful because if the starter is good it will turn over.

Get the battery checked as Radio and lights need less power then starter. If battery is ok then get the carbon brushes of your starter changed. This will solve your problem.

Sounds like your starter is defective.. sometimes you can tap on the starter case and it will crank...now that's a tap not a hard hit... if it does crank drive it to a repair shop, because its a one shot deal.... also could be a lose wire...either way its going to require a mechanic ....

You have a bad starter or ignition switch. It's pretty common, and any mechanic can change it for you.
