Note:This only works if you have a normal 28 day cycle. Let's say the 28th day of your cycle is on the 27th, in whih you start your period. Count backwards 14 days.... which would mean you probably ovulated on the weekend of the 13th, 14th somewhere in there. The most fertile period (the time with the highest likelihood of sexual intercourse leading to pregnancy) covers the time from some 5 days before ovulation until 1-2 days after ovulation. In an average 28 day cycle with a 14-day luteal phase, this corresponds to the second and the beginning of the third week of the cycle. In otherwords, if you ovulated on the 13th then your fertility time would be from the 8th-16th, approx. but not definitely.
If the egg is not fertilized within about a day of ovulation, it will die and be absorbed by the woman's body.)
You are cutting it WAY too close, if you are not wanting to be pregnant. If you are trying to concieve, move it up a day or two in your cycle, and be sure that your hubby has not ejaculated in the previous 48 hours to ensure the highest sperm count.
you can take the test as early as Sat. to find out. I wish you luck and the results are as you would like them to be. Blessings- dd

You cannot know you are pregnant after just 4 days. A blood pregnancy test though will show if you are pregnant or not 7 days following conception.
If you do not chart or monitor your fertility in any way, and you think you may have conceived, you should wait 19 days (or longer) after having sex to test. Why 19?! Sperm can live approximately 5 days in the proper environment; if the sperm managed to live until you popped an egg, the actual conception could have taken place several days after the sex act that got the sperm there. To make sure you're not testing too early, assume the sperm had very long lives (5 days is considered a very long sperm life) and that conception occurred then. Then allow 14 days for the embryo to implant and develop enough hCG to show up on a pregnancy test (96% of pregnant women will test positive by then.)

If you take the test now your just wasting it, you should really wait till after you miss a period to take a test. There is no test that will tell 4 days after unprotected sex, if you were pregnant the baby wouldn't even have had a chance to implant yet which is what causes the hormones that give you a positive test result to be released.

Taking a test right now would be pointless.
Implantation is when the fertilized egg snuggles itself into the lining of the uterus. Implantation takes place 6-12 days after conception (so you have 2-8 days left before that would take place). A test will not show positive until after implantation takes place.
Even if you are pregnant, a test won't show it yet. Wait a week. If your period hasn't shown, take a test then.
Good luck, I hope you get the results you're hoping for.

No a pregnancy test will not read hcg levels this early considering you have not even had implantation yet... You probably don't have any signs of your period because you have an infection(the excess discharge). If you expereince any more symptoms such as burning, itching or trouble urinating consult a doctor..It could be as simple as an yeast infection or as serious as a kidney infection(pains on the sides).
If your period is more than 2 weeks late take the test.

I don't think it would work. Pregnancy test detect the HcG hormone, the body doesn't usually produce that until 7 - 12 days post conception.
