I read on the national website that the sorority requires a C+..But im unsure what contitutes a C+..AND when i yahoo search it majority of the schools 2.3 is a C+..I just dont want to got to the informational meeting and know that my GPA isnt high enough and it would basically be a waste....SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY!!!! I am not a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha but I did join a greek organization in college that required a C+. First you have to look at your schools grading system. For most schools a grade point average of 2.5 = C+
For help with this situation you should refer to your school's student life director, they will be able to direct you to the appropriate people.
However do your best to get your grades up because this Outstanding sorority is known for excellence in the community and education. The minimum GPA is not all that is needed to join the sorority.

If you really want to pledge this particular sorority then you should go to the info meeting, some sororities allow you to pledge but you would be on academic probation. I don't know about AKA personally, but it will not be a waste for you to go to the meeting. They might also look at semester GPA not accumulative. Go try you never know and you might just make a new friend even if you don't gain any sisters.
