Most mainboards have a "reset password" jumper.
Refer to the manufacturer website for details.

Other times it can be reset by removing the battery & shorting the "+" & "-" leads in the battery slot for about 30 seconds.

MAKE SURE THE UNIT IS UNPLUGGED from the power outlet before you try that.

On a notebook PC it may vary .... best to contact the manufacturer.

There should be a way to user the jumpers on the motherboard to reset the BIOS password. Just search on the internet for the motherboard model and bios jumper reset
