Chavez is stealing American assets there but will be much harder to isolate than say Cuba as it is rich in natural resources, not least of which is oil.

It might mean the same thing. 'Go home' might be idiomatic for 'get stuffed', 'go F* yourself', or 'go to hell'.

i think he actually said both. according to the paper, he said "go to hell gringos....go home."
