I went to Orlando in October with my sister and her boyfriend. He had the same offences, drink driving, no license etc etc. He had to ring the American Embassy in London and arrange an interview. It cost him about £300 in total including train fairs down there. They only schedule meetings twice a year so i would do it asap. He went in August. They gave him a Visa basically because there were six of us going and they new we would spend a lot of money in the country between us. u need to take your bank statements so make sure she has as much money in her bank as possible! They told him not to even try for another three years. They gave less than 40% of people who were haveing interviews that day Visa's. SHE DEFINATELY NEEDS TO APPLY FOR A VISA! iF SHE DOESN'T THEY WILL JUST MAKE U BOTH TURN AROUND AND COME BACK AGAIN. Tell her not to get her hopes up either. It was awful seeing all them ppl comeing out of the embassy sobbing. Dont book your hol yet either! Sorry to sound harsh but u have to prepare.

Good luck, really hope all goes well!

Why would she need to get a visa? Criminal records of any kind will never require anyone to get a visa only nationality. There are visa exemption agreements between countries that are based solely on nationality. Where are you going to Vegas from?
If you hold a UK or Canadian passport than you do not need a visa to enter the states regardless of your crimes in your home country.
If she is required to get a visa based on nationality. (she is from a country that does not have a visa exemption agreement with the US) than a criminal history may prevent them from being issued a tourist visa to the states. Tourist visas for the US are quite difficult to get anyway and require an interview and a full disclosure of financial, criminal and life histories. While the crimes that your Friend has committed may not preclude her from getting the visa it will definitely slow it down and make it more difficult.

These are NOT criminal offenses. She will need a passport, and there should be no problem getting one.

I am sure she will get one. She may be restricted from driving though!
